Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 reaffirmed its role as the leading global gathering for publishing, with over 4,000 exhibitors from 95+ countries. The momentum around educational publishing and digital learning was especially strong, highlighting a rapidly evolving future for K-12 education. For Neddi, the fair was an ideal platform to deepen partnerships with publishers, distributors, schools, and EdTech providers, opening new opportunities worldwide.

A Convergence of Publishing, Distribution, and EdTech

Across five days, we met with a wide range of European and international publishers, national distributors, industry associations, and an increasing number of EdTech companies. What stood out this year was how clearly the boundaries between physical and digital learning materials are dissolving. Traditional publishers are investing in digital ecosystems, distributors are looking for modern infrastructure to handle hybrid formats, and EdTech providers are actively seeking closer collaboration with the publishing world.

This convergence is exactly where Neddi creates value: by offering a unified marketplace that brings physical books, digital learning tools, licenses, and user roles together in one intelligent platform.

Growing Momentum Around Marketplaces and Interoperability

A recurring theme in our discussions was the need for smarter, more efficient distribution, and especially for solutions that respect local markets while supporting international scalability. Many partners expressed strong interest in:

- Streamlined procurement for K-12 schools

- Integrated workflows for physical and digital materials

- Reliable metadata and licensing infrastructure

- Transparent and more collaborative ways of reaching teachers and students

Frankfurt confirmed that Neddi’s model resonates far beyond the Nordic region, and that our combination of technology, neutrality, and local partnerships addresses challenges shared across Europe.

A Fair That Gets Bigger, and More Relevant, Every Year

Frankfurt Book Fair has always been a landmark event for global publishing, but its relevance is expanding. The growing presence of EdTech companies, education ministries, digital distributors, and SIS/LMS providers shows that the fair is evolving into a true hub for the future of learning. For Neddi, this year’s fair reinforced two things:

1. The enormous need for a unified infrastructure that connects the entire K-12 value chain.

2. The importance of strong, local partners in every market.

Our conversations confirmed that both publishers and distributors see Neddi not simply as a platform, but as a long-term ecosystem partner.

Looking Ahead

As we return from Frankfurt, we are energized by the shared vision we encountered across the industry. The appetite for innovation is growing, and collaboration across borders is becoming essential. Neddi will continue working closely with publishers, distributors, schools, and EdTech providers to build a more connected, transparent, and efficient future for learning materials in Europe.

2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year. Frankfurt has made that clearer than ever.
